Music on Mint Plaza Summer Concerts

Workers, residents, and visitors in downtown San Francisco’s Central Market neighborhood are invited to enjoy free music on Mint Plaza during the lunch hour every Friday, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., July 11 through September 26.
The Music on Mint Plaza summer concert series will feature local artists representing genres ranging from Latin and mambo jazz to swing and ska.
“The free summer concerts are a perfect opportunity to get out of the office, meet up with friends and colleagues, enjoy lunch in the sun, and listen to an eclectic lineup of local bands with fellow music lovers,” said Daniel Hurtado, Executive Director of the Central Market Community Benefit District, a co-sponsor of the summer concert series. “The Friday noontime concerts are a fun way to wind down the work week or jumpstart the weekend," he said.
This event is presented by People in Plazas as part of the People in Plazas Summer Concert Program, and is sponsored by the Central Market Community Benefit District, the Friends of Mint Plaza, and the San Francisco Examiner.
Mint Plaza is located on Jessie and Mint Streets off of Fifth Street between Market and Mission Streets in San Francisco’s Central Market district and is accessible by BART and Muni at the Powell Street Station.
Mint Plaza was recently named “Best Meeting Spot” by 7x7 Magazine and “Best Public / Cultural Space” by the San Francisco Business Times.
