A banner year for Central Market

The Central Market Community Benefit District (CMCBD) has launched its first light pole banner project to promote the district’s diverse offerings while strengthening neighborhood identity. The banner project is entirely underwritten by Soma Grand.

“The banner program is designed to encourage people to recognize the arts, cultural and entertainment aspect of the neighborhood while also highlighting the mixed-use character of the Central Market district,” said Daniel Hurtado, Executive Director of the CMCBD. “The Central Market area is a place where people live and work, but it is also home to shops, restaurants, arts and cultural venues, and evening hot spots,” he said.

"The CMCBD would like to recognize Soma Grand's generosity in the sponsorship of the Central Market banner project and for AGI Capital's dedication to economic vitality and civic involvement in Central Market," Hurtado said.

“We’re very pleased to support the Central Market Community Benefit District,” said Eric Tao, Executive Vice President and CIO of AGI Capital, co-developer of the Soma Grand residences. “We’re confident that the work of the CMCBD -- from the banner program to neighborhood beautification and efforts to encourage new retail -- will promote a greater understanding of the neighborhood and encourage new residents and businesses to join us in this exciting emerging area. Their services are a great benefit not only to the residents of Soma Grand, but to the entire community."
