How You Can Support Us

The Central Market Community Benefit District (CMCBD) and the Civic Center Community Benefit District (CCCBD) are non-profit organizations dedicated to public space cleanliness, safety, activation and beautification for the benefit of all those who live, work and visit the area.

Companies, foundations and private donors have an opportunity to support and invest in the program or neighborhood of their choice by sponsoring core services common to both Districts or specific CMCBD & CCCBD programs and events.

All sponsors receive recognition on the Districts’ website, in newsletters, social media and communications sent to stakeholders, and in signage, displays and announcements made during sponsored events.

Clean Teams: CMCBD & CCCBD Clean Teams address daily occurrences of sidewalk litter, illegal dumping, graffiti and general upkeep. Service requests can be made by anyone calling or emailing the District’s Dispatch offices.

Community Ambassadors: Ambassadors are easily identifiable by their blue (CMCBD) and orange  (CCCBD) uniforms. They assist visitors with a welcoming presence and directions, check-in with retail businesses and building security, and offer help to those in need.

Safety Teams: CMCBD & CCCBD proactively pair Community Ambassadors with SF Police Department 10b officers. These co-responder teams may be deployed District-wide, assigned to a specific corridor or hot spot, or dispatched to respond to an incident or service request.

Holiday Tree Lighting: This fun CCCBD event offers a night of entertainment with notable guests and musical performances, capped off by the lighting of the Civic Center Plaza Holiday Tree with the beautiful backdrop of an illuminated City Hall.

Civic Center Commons Block Parties: 1st Sundays and 3rd Thursdays are free community events in the Civic Center Commons. The 1st Sundays daytime event focuses on family-friendly activities, and the 3rd Thursdays evening event features live music, and food and drinks at Happy Hour. Go to the CCCBD website & CivicCenterCommons.org for details.

Safety Summit: CMCBD convenes its stakeholders annually for free information and training seminars focused on personal and public safety.

Security Cameras: A growing network of high-definition, nighttime-enabled cameras in hot spot areas of CMCBD helps deter illegal activity and provides valuable evidence for the prosecution of crimes.

2 Blocks of Art:  This annual CMCBD art walk event promotes local artists and 6th Street small businesses, galvanizing the community and celebrating arts & culture. Go to 2BlocksofArt.org.
