As a community organization that spearheaded the Turk & Taylor Project — an effort aimed at transforming the first block of Turk Street (between Market and Taylor) with a world class, site-specific art installation — CMCBD is excited to see Tenderloin in Motion come to fruition.
The mural, designed by local mural artists Elaine Chu and Marina Perez-Wong of Twin Walls Mural Co., and painted by community members during painting sessions at CounterPulse, will span the block of Turk Street adjacent to Market Street. Tenderloin in Motion will remain in place for two years while construction of Group i’s 950 Market project is completed.
